

Technology Mandatory Years 7-8
All students in Years 7 and 8 participate in the Technology Mandatory course. This course provides students with the opportunity to design & produce creative products that encourage flexibility, resourcefulness and imagination in the development, communication and production of quality solutions. This course is fun & exciting & embracing a wide range of practical activities!
Over the two year course students will complete eight different units of study which provides them with the opportunity to experience a range of different technologies & gain an insight into the products, systems & environments that shape our society.
At present our units of study include; Windy Wow (Wind Chimes), Little Critters (Timber & Permaculture), Trends (Metal & Jewellery Design), Cranking the Goodness (Permaculture & Cooking), Architecturally Awesome (Archictecture), Blow Me Up! (Engineering & Rocket Design), Monsters Inc (Textiles) & Round in Circles (Electronics & Control Technologies).
All of our units embrace digital technologies & relevant communication & presentation techniques as we aim to provide students with the opportunity to learn & develop skills that will aid them in their future lives & careers.

Fees
There is a fee of $40.00 per year for all students in Years 7 and 8. This fee covers the cost of all equipment and materials used in the construction of projects.
