Personal Development, Health and Physical Education
Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) contributes significantly to the cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual development of students. It provides opportunities for students to learn about, and practise ways of, adopting and maintaining a healthy, productive and active life. It also involves students learning through movement experiences that are both challenging and enjoyable, and improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence in a variety of contexts. It promotes the value of physical activity in their lives.
At Warrawong High School we are commited to delivering a high quality PD/H/PE curriculum and as many sportying opportunities as possible. Our Faculty members incorporate technology into all Health lessons with all 3 of the PD/H/PE classrooms containing Interactive Whiteboards. Our PD/H/PE facilities are some of the best in the state; including an indoor stadium containing 2 Basketball courts, a full sized Football field, a large Fitness Studio incorporating 15 Cardio machines, 20 weight training machines, free weights and a cardio circuit containg 12 hydraulic machines. We also have 2 outdoor Basketball courts and 6 Volleyball courts.
